The Maker

It began with a quiet pair of hands, and a loop of wool.

Crochet gave me something soft to hold during a difficult time. Somewhere along the way, it turned into a little something I could share.

I began making beanies for family and friends, then for their children, then for the grandchildren of friends. Each one is handmade in my home, finished by hand, and made to last through more than one small winter.

I still feel the same quiet care when I start a new one — choosing the wool, the pom pom, the patch that will make someone smile. A little warmth, a little magic — that's the whole idea.

Some like theirs with a patch and a pom pom; others want it kept plain — a quiet rib and nothing more. Whichever feels right for you, just ask on the order form.
